One-time sales leave a neat paper trail. Subscriptions leave a braid of pauses, resumes, coupons, and support-driven credits. If your evidence model only stores the latest invoice PDF, you will lose the story that explains it.
Evidence that still matters months later
Keep the commercial policy version that governed the change, the identity of the actor who approved a manual credit, and the system event IDs that produced the journal entries. Screenshots without IDs age poorly; IDs without narrative age into noise. You need both.
Pause and resume are not opposites
A pause may freeze metering while still accruing a platform fee. A resume may reprice. Treat them as separate clauses in your checklist, not as a toggle. Our Continuity Checklist Intensive drills this distinction with deliberately awkward sample SKUs.
How the app fits
A financial auditing app for subscription billing audits should let you pin evidence to an exception, not merely list anomalies. In our cohorts, pinning becomes a habit before learners return to production tools that may be less forgiving.
