Subscription Billing Audit Mastery
A six-module path for people who must prove that recurring charges, credits, and tax lines match the commercial contract—not just the product UI.
What you will practice
From contract clause to cash settlement.
You will work inside sample tenant data that mirrors a mid-market SaaS ledger. The financial auditing app for subscription billing audits is the fieldwork surface; your judgment remains the decision layer.
- 01
Contract graph mapping
Translate plan versions, add-ons, and pause rules into an event vocabulary your audit can cite.
- 02
Proration & credit reconstruction
Rebuild mid-cycle changes and show where dashboards compress inconvenient detail.
- 03
Dunning & retry forensics
Link gateway outcomes to customer balances and aging categories.
- 04
Tax & VAT overlays
Model Korea-relevant rate switches and bilingual invoice expectations.
- 05
Continuity checklist
Produce a repeatable close package for controllers and external reviewers.
- 06
Findings narrative
Write exceptions that naming owners can act on without another meeting.
Learning outcomes
Reproduce a variance
Take an MRR disagreement and show the three events that created it.
Score control design
Rate whether a billing change process leaves an auditable trail.
Brief non-finance partners
Explain a finding to product or support without drowning them in jargon.
What learners say about this course
The Continuity Checklist module forced our billing ops pair to stop treating “retry later” as a black box. We still argue about thresholds, but at least we argue with the same event log.

★★★★☆
Clear fieldwork. The sample dataset is denser than our production volume, which is useful—though I wished for one more example of annual prepay with mid-term downgrade.

FAQ
Do I need an accounting credential?
No. Comfort with invoices and basic journal concepts is enough. We explain the rest in context.
Is the auditing app included?
Cohort learners receive time-boxed access for exercises. It is a training environment, not a production deployment of your ledger.
What is a real limitation of this course?
We do not certify you against a specific statutory standard, and we do not connect to your live payment processors. You leave with methods and practice data, not an automated opinion over your production books.
Can teams attend together?
Yes. Pair seats for audit and billing are encouraged; see Portfolio Assurance for team-oriented access notes.
